Cost of housing in America is too expensive

The cost of housing in America is too expensive!
Baby boomers, young adults and others are suffering.
Many are unable to pay all the expenses in America after
working two jobs. They don’t have enough money.
The cost of a home and rents are too high.
The government talks about the homeless problem but does nothing to help.
As a matter of fact, they pass laws to criminalize homeless!
Trumps administration doesn’t care at all!

You see people on the street pushing a grocery cart with their belongs.
People living in their cars, mini vans and campers.
Because they don’t have enough money for rent!

 

Homeless and small houses. 

You can’t build small houses in most places in America.
There are lots of zoning laws that stop people from
finding affordable housing. The local government gets more
money in taxes from people that own mansions.
The folks with mansions don’t want mini homes in
their neighborhood. The system is rigged against the poor.

If the government would allow people to build a smaller
home there might not be any homeless.
How ever zoning always gets in the way.

 

People could build their own small homes.

A few thousand dollars and a person could build their own place.
But when the government zoning folks get involved, it all gets stopped.
They have no interest in helping People. The money is in the bigger homes.
They want the big tax money mansions get.

What could government do?

1	Revamp the zoning laws so people can build their own small homes or live in an RV or mobile home. People can fix a damage small home easily, fast and cheap. If you have a mansion, you’ll need a contractor and permits and higher property taxes. Make getting permits easier. Seems like the government only makes permits harder.
2	Government could set aside areas for homeless to be. Allow people to stay in Government owned areas at a reasonable cost. Many small towns have RV and camping areas. On those grounds there should be bathrooms and showers Have mailboxes available for people living there. It will pay for itself with reasonable rents.

The government could help but they don’t.
Time for some better people to run for office.

They make code enforcement laws to make your house is safe.
The laws have no value if most people can’t afford a house.
So, people live in cars and on the streets.
Then local cops harsh them.
